compared to yesterday, I did nothing today... except work, but that doesn't really count.
Gig at Ralph's tomorrow... put actual effort into getting people to go. Cross your fingers
Brands gig on Saturday... if Mark makes it back from Philadelphia. Somehow I doubt his
piece-of-poo car can get him all the way down there and back (and definitely not in time
for the show) ... only time will tell though.

I got the wagon, and you have no idea how hard it was finishing the registration paperwork... I'd tell the story, but I'm already in the process of blocking it out of my memory forever.
Besides the brakes sucking really bad and the muffler making rattly noises everytime I get slow, it's a really nice wagon... way better than the Celebrity. And way more overpowered.
Recorded a couple bass tracks for the S&L album tonight. It was sweet.

The 25th Anniversary of Wormtown events are over.
It was a long weekend full of performances by bands that defined the last 25 years...
and I only caught one night of it, but I sure am exhausted.
looking forward to hearing from Steve/My parents about whether my new car is ready.
The guy on eBay ended the auction 5 minutes before it was supposed to end...
so I only have 1 new car

woot. Friday
less kids at work today, as we shuffle half of them off to the Y to go swimming.
Tonight, I will probably sleep at my parent's house again so we can all travel to
the lot in Wrentham together... though, that doesn't really make sense, since
I'm so much closer to the lot here. I'll have to call Dad at some point today.
It's Wormtown's 25th Anniversary and there are gigs all weekend to commemorate
the event, but I may have no car all weekend to go and partake in any of the
festivities.

it's early Friday, but it's still Thursday to me.
And all day I kept thinking it was Wednesday...
gigs on Mondays really mess up my sense of time.
I think I bought a car today... it's all a blur.
We went and checked out a 96 in Thompson, a 93 in
Putnam, an 88 in Woonsocket (which was gone by the
time we got there) and the 90 I had seen previously at
the lot in Wrentham... along with an 89 that I had missed
the first time around.
We were driving the 90 around... and suddenly I started
liking it... a lot. I even said, aloud, that I was leaning more
towards that one than the newer ones from the dealers.
And then I bought it.
I pick it up on Saturday. It needs brakes, and parking lights
and my stereo... and it needs to be checked out by Steve
the wonder-mechanic... and it needs a name.
I'm still winning the auction on eBay for the 95.
I'm betting that the seller will pull the auction if no one
outbids me, I know he wants almost four times what it's
at now...
played a gig to no one @ Ralph's tonight... also got offered
next Thursday. It's almost a Snakes & Ladders residency.
Absolutely need to get some people in there next week.

car is dead. It's official. I think I actually found out after I posted on Monday, but I've been busy with gigs and car-shopping and such.
The gig on Monday was fun; short set but a good time. Got another gig at Ralph's on Thursday, hopefully I can drag some people in this time.
Went to the Helping Hands of America car lot today... found one interesting wagon there. I've got a high bid on an auction on eBay for a 95 Olds wagon and there's also an 88 at a dealer down the street that I haven't checked out yet. I'll probably do that tomorrow with Dad. I'm hoping to win the auction though... I know how much the guy really wants for it because I called him, but the price (and my current bid) really isn't anywhere near that... so I hope he doesn't pull the auction. Talked to another guy on the phone about an 87 in N Quincy, I think he'll be the fallback.

Still waiting to find out if the car is dead...
Moved a lot of the new Roomies stuff in yesterday,
they had one pick-up truck, one minivan and one
station wagon full of stuff, and they somehow fit it
all in here.
Lots of furniture was added... the more funrniture
you add to this place, the more crooked it looks.
Gig tonight! some sort of benefit for Stroke victims
that is being lovingly referred to as the Stroke-a-Thon
I find myself looking forward to work more, now that
I'm on the side with the older kids and Jen and Jill
and Becky. I like working with them, they're fun.
